GTLE Results Update: IC in Pedagogy,Resit Arrangements, and New Registrations

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has released important updates concerning the 2025 Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE II) results, particularly regarding candidates who were previously marked with “IC” (Incomplete) in Pedagogy.

Following the submission of outstanding data by some training institutions, the NTC has updated the results of affected candidates. All candidates are therefore advised to recheck their results on the official GTLE portal to confirm their current status.

IC Status in Pedagogy

Candidates who still see “IC” against their Pedagogy results are informed that this is due to the non-submission of Teaching Practice (STS) results by their respective colleges. Such candidates are strongly advised to contact their STS coordinators or college authorities immediately to ensure that the required results are uploaded for further processing.

Upcoming GTLE Registrations and Resits

The Council has also indicated that preparations are underway for the next GTLE examination cycle, which will accommodate:

  • Candidates resitting one or more papers
  • New candidates registering for the first time
  • Candidates completing outstanding papers under previous examination formats

Details regarding registration timelines, examination dates, and fees will be officially communicated in due course.

How to Check GTLE Results

Candidates can access their results via the NTC GTLE portal using any of the following login options:

  • Examination Serial Number and PIN
  • Examination ID and phone number
  • Email address and phone number

Due to high traffic on the portal, candidates are encouraged to exercise patience while accessing their results.

Important Registration Information

All candidates must be properly indexed by their training institutions before registering for the GTLE.

  • Fresh candidates are required to pay an indexing fee of GH₵50.
  • Upon announcement of registration, candidates must:

  1. Confirm their indexing status
  2. Purchase an official GTLE registration voucher
  3. Complete online registration on the NTC portal
  4. Select the appropriate category (fresh or resit)
  5. Upload required details and passport photograph
  6. Print the registration confirmation slip
  7. Approved examination fees vary depending on the number of papers to be written.

Final Note

Candidates are advised to remain attentive to official NTC communications, prepare adequately using approved syllabi and past questions, and ensure all institutional requirements are met promptly.

Further verified updates will be shared as they become available.
