This declaration is in observance of National Farmers' Day, a day set aside annually to recognize and honor the hardworking farmers and fisherfolk who feed the nation and contribute significantly to Ghana's economy.
In a press statement issued today, Friday, November 28, 2025, the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak (MP), confirmed that the day should be observed as a holiday throughout the country.

Declaration Of Friday, 5th December 2025, as a Public Holiday.
The General Public is hereby informed that Friday, 5th December 2025, which marks FARMERS DAY, is a Statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.
